CLARK REID OBITUARY

Clark Ellis Reid He lived his dream... 1954 ~ 2006 Clark Reid died quietly August 12, 2006 in Louisville, Kentucky, but his life was lived quite brightly dancing on stages around the world. Clark began his career at Utah Civic Ballet when he appeared in the Nutcracker at the age of 12. He continued at Ballet West and then many years and performances later, he retired from the Louisville Ballet where he had been a Principal Dancer and Ballet Master. He was talented and known for a technique that the New York Times once labeled "a burning intensity." During the last few years, he shared his skills by teaching and will be remembered by his students for wise counsel and support. Clark was born Oct 10, 1954 in Grand Junction, CO to Bruce and Margene Reid. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1972. He leaves behind his wife and best friend, Patricia Jones Reid; son, Paul Reid; loving parents, Bruce and Mar-gene Reid of Midvale; sister, Jolynn Reid; brothers and sister-in-law, Frank and Janet Reid, and Clay Reid. He will be missed greatly by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and fans. A memorial service will be held in Louisville in his honor.
