KELLY ABEL OBITUARY

Kelly Elton Abel (Richards)  In loving memory of Kelly Elton Abel, who died Tuesday, July 13, 2004 of natural causes at his home in South Jordan. Kelly was born March 7, 1955 in American Fork, son of Fred and Beverly Richards. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1973 where he was an All State Basketball player for coach Art Hughes. He loved all sports, had a creative mind and was an excellent student. He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He had a big heart, thoughtfully bringing a flower, sharing a talent, or helping a friend. He loved working. He enjoyed the building process and took pride in seeing the work well done. He was a master iron worker and thought of himself as "building America". Survived by his father and mother, Fred and Beverly Richards, grandmother, Gwen Richards, sister, Angela (Peter) Mazeika; brothers, Bruce (Sharlene) Richards and Alan (Stacy) Richards; uncles, Elder Merrill (Marilyn) Bateman, Blaine (Christie) Bateman, John (Gail) Richards, Steven (Carol) Richards; aunts, Sandy (Stephen) Hunter, Carol Richards, Rosemary (Brent) Lind, Anne (Larry) Bowen; six nieces, six nephews and numerous cousins. Services will be held at 12 noon Sat. July 17, Highland 15th Ward, 5212 W Country Club Dr. (10550 N Alpine Hwy) Highland, Utah, under the direction of Anderson & Sons Mortuary, American Fork. Viewing will be 10-11:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in the American Fork Cemetery.
