Classmates Stories and Stuff

Post from Glayde Lundgren - August 2024

Time - Its truly amazing when I sit down and reflect of how fast time really passes, when we were in school we had the Jocks, the beautiful people(or so they thought), the intellectuals, the noisy ones, the trouble makers, the quiet ones, and the others we were not quite sure about!! some had many friends, a few had none, some teased us, some appreciated us, could not care less one way or another. We had Musicals, Football Games, Basketball Games, Choir Practice, Band Practice, we had teachers we loved, other teachers not so much. We had this crazy thing called PE where we would go out and join our fellow classmates in some physical activity and you were always hoping you were not the last one picked. Then we had the weekends (which I am a little fuzzy on) there were parties in the mountains,” Stomps “to go to at the school, Proms to Dressup for, go to parties at people's houses when their parents were gone, parties at a place called “The Place” how creative. We had movies, mountains to hike, lakes to swim in pools to go to, we spent time with girlfriends and boyfriends then there was hanging out with the girls and the guys hanging out with the guys. Oh, and do not forget about Dragging State Street. You know we had it surprisingly good back then considering, definitely had the Best Music of any Generation if I do say so myself, WOW what a time!

Well, here we are reflecting on the past. Do I wish I could have done some things differently a little more, I think all of us through getting older and living this thing called life would have when we were in school. Maybe treat each other with more respect and dignity, get to know those we never got to know, enjoy those more we did know. We lived in quite a time we were at the end of the Vietnam War, the tail end of the Hippie Era, and the end of Walter Cronkite and the Start of a Great TV series called "Mash”. Well fellow Classmates of the Graduating Class of 73 its fifty plus years later many have changed some have a good life some a tough life and to those we lost along the way, just want to say we miss you. Every Year there are Graduating Classes everyone them is making memories. But I might be a little biased, but they would have to go a long way to Top what we had. GOD Bless you all the class of 73.
