Hillcrest High School
Class of 1973
Hillcrest High School - Class of '73!
Hillcrest High School opened its doors to students in the fall of 1962 as the third operating high school in the Jordan School District at the time. It is located on a 38-acre site approximately 12 miles south of Salt Lake City. Our Class of '73 was it's 10th Graduating class.
Part of the property included the a hill, which was dug out to make the Football field, and form the foundation of the concrete "bleachers" on either side. Note: The school's original football stadium lights were relocated from the old Bingham High School in Copperton, Utah.
When they rebuilt the school, they added a new athletic field house with a multi-purpose space overlooking the stadium. This image from the FFKR Architects website shows the stunning view from the new fieldhouse. It makes you want to be a Jock, or a Jock again!
